Microsoft Dynamics GP (short for Great Plains) is an on-premises enterprise resource planning (ERP) and accounting software solution from Microsoft. It’s designed primarily for small and midsize businesses (SMBs) and provides a full suite of financial and operational management tools.
While still supported, Dynamics GP is considered a legacy ERP. Dynamics GP is scheduled to be sunset in December 2029. Microsoft has shifted its focus toward Dynamics 365 Business Central (its modern cloud ERP). However, many organizations continue to use GP because of its and long-term familiarity.
