Unit Accounts

In Dynamics GP, unit accounts are used to track non-financial data related to an organization.  They allow for reporting measures that do not affect the financial statements such as square footage by department or number of personnel per department. Some clients use unit accounts to track the number of attendees at conferences, or the number of clients served within a specific fiscal period.  Unit accounts can also be used when taking advantage of GP’s variable allocation functionality.
